Paul A. Sandler, General Manager

Paul Sandler opened The Palm in Atlantic City as Assistant General Manager responsible for all aspects of the restaurant's operation.  His great success in creating the restaurant's fun filled environment with flawless service led to Paul's promotion to General Manager.  His wine expertise also resulted in his being named the Assistant National Director of Wines for all Palm Restaurants.

He ended his 17-year tenure at Harrahs, as the General Manager for two of the hotels most acclaimed gourmet restaurants where he designed and executed a wine program that became a customer favorite and a Harrahs trademark.

Paul loves the Jersey shore, making it his home after graduating from Richard Stockton College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Biology. He and his wife, Patty, have two daughters, Alysa and Samantha.

Barbara Bermel, Catering Sales Manager
Catering Sales Manager Barbara Bermel has always been interested in people, hospitality and results. For eighteen years, Barbara deliberately worked all front of the house service positions in the hospitality industry, from banquet server to bartender to front desk clerk, in order to understand all aspects of the industry. This background served her well while pursuing a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management at Farleigh Dickinson University. After graduating in 1998, Barbara began a seven-year career with the Hilton Corporation, steadily rising from assistant restaurant manager to director of catering. Here, she contracted and serviced corporate, convention and social events with as many as 1,000 guests in attendance.
